The Queensland Sunshine Coast Shires of Noosa and Maroochy merged with Caloundra City on March 15th 2008.
Lacking only a history, the Sunshine Coast is located in one of the fastest growing regions in Australia at this time, and with little urban fabric in place, it provides some challenging contrasts for a casual observer.
These pages are an attempt to document some of those contrasts.
Note that any similarity between the this photoblog and the regional newspaper from Queensland Australia, which is also known as the Sunshine Coast Daily, is purely coincidental. We have absolutely no relationship with that publication apart from the fact that we live in the same town. If you would like to read more of the goings on in our particular tiny corner of the world, please feel free to visit The Daily online.

I love this shot. So typical of the entrance to many beaches. This one has so much promise for what you get by going through that passageway.
